A key goal of formative assessment and feedback is to help students develop as independent learners capable of monitoring and regulating their own learning. Simply providing feedback does not achieve this. It’s only when learners actively engage with the assessment criteria and process of evaluating performance against those criteria that they are able to use feedback in a way that leads to improvement. Research shows that a combination of student self-reflection and peer review is most likely to result in… Read more »

“Reflection – reflective thinking and writing – is an important part of university life and work. As Plato said, ‘The life without examination is no life.’ The ability to reflect on your experience and knowledge, and use that to make improvements, is a key part of your university-level thinking and your subsequent working life.”

The demo we did as a group in our workshop for CIINOVapp.
The human graph in our CIINOVApp workshop responds to our question about edupunk, created with imgflip at https://imgflip.com/i/vi153
Just any normal kitchem implement will not do for a proper EDUPUNK… Luckily Amazon.com has the perfect set (in black of course). This example probably does not take the EDUPUNKness to the most exteme level; there are a lot of part sof the Amazon page that can be changed. I am proud that Jim Groom is listed as the recipient.
What could be more fitting for some EDUPUNK makeover than a YouTube video for a Blackboard feature? The source was a video about an orientation to Blackboard Learn, but in my universe, they have rolled out a new feature that will add a bit of “edupunkivity” to any course. I made the views and dislikes crazy high numbers. All of the related movies have had their titles tweaked.
An example made as a demo for this challenge. My remix is based on the Stanford Machine Learning Course— it is meant for companies who want to make their EDUPUNK employees more compliant happy. I used the URL for my twitter avatar to change the logo of Stanford! I stopped editing before I got to the syllabus (it’s a long page) but did change most of the buttons and menu names

Es una herramienta muy útil ya que es fácil de crear y se guardan los datos de forma automática… Read more »
