Meet Barb Kidd

I’m an educator, skier, golfer, traveler, who loves to fly fish! I’m passionate about making learning meaningful, and even more passionate about my dog Parker!

Biography

I have been an educator and administrator for more than 30 years with my area of expertise in curriculum and instruction. My career began as a secondary school teacher, followed by 10 years as a curriculum specialist in provincial government and the past 10 years in post-secondary education as an administrator. I am presently the Dean of Health, Community & Social Justice at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) in Vancouver Canada. The JIBC is an incredible place to work – focused on education and training for justice and emergency services professionals where active, student-centred, experiential learning is the name of the game!

I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful Guadalajara in April this year at our development meeting with the UdG team and am SO excited to be returning! I look forward to learning with you in the Agora!
